| Recalibration and Recertification of RESIDUMETER®II GAUSS METER Available Through ELMATCO® | ||
|
The RESIDUMETER®II GAUSS METER is a handheld digital gauss meter with a convenient removal belt clip. Depending on your needs you can measure gauss readings with this gauss meter to determine maximum gauss field in a part or map your gauss readings. The testing area is located bottom, center front and must physically contact the work piece for measurement to be taken. This gauss meter is the industry standard for DC magnetic measurement. This gauss meter provides greater accuracy than a magnetic field indicator. Use this gauss meter to quickly determine the strength and direction of DC magnetic fields. This precision hand-held digital gauss meter accurately measures low residual magnetism and displays magnetism measurement levels. The ELMATCO® digital handheld gauss meters or magnetometers are lightweight and easy-to-use. |

Gauss measurements can be taken with these gauss meters (fluxmeters) before and after demagnetization to ensure that deperming has been done correctly. The RESIDUMETER®II GAUSS METER is available in one range (0-1999) and is calibrated in Gauss using instruments traceable to the National Bureau of Standards. Our gauss meter accuracy is 2% of reading or 1 gauss, whichever is greater. Certification is included in packaging. There are many hand held magnetic field indicators that only detect the presence of magnetism. However, in most cases, after demagnetizing they are not sensitive enough to pick up the lower residual gauss levels and give the true gauss readings. Our gauss meter does measure these lower gauss levels. |

The Steel Industry recognizes 10 gauss or less as a negligible amount of magnetism. Other industries however require lower levels in some instances. For example two small pin size parts with a residual field of over 1 gauss will attract to each other, thus when the parts are sent through a wash to remove foreign particles, grinding dust will not be removed and the end result could adversely affect the final product. The RESIDUMETER®II GAUSS METER is able to accurately measure these low residual magnetism levels for better quality control. |

In today's economy time is money. This gauss meter can save you time by allowing you to quickly check multiple parts within a container or "spot-check" parts. Use this gauss meter to check all parts regardless of the size. If a specific gauss level is required for quality control purposes, it's suggested the parts be checked separately in order to get the most accurate gauss level reading on each individual part. |
