THE gAUSSMETER CHOSEN BY MEDICAL PROfESsionals

RESIDUMETER®II

The RESIDUMETER®II Gaussmeter is a handheld digital gaussmeter ideally used in conjunction with demagnetizing your medical instruments. This gaussmeter is the universal standard for DC magnetic measurement. This precision hand-held digital gaussmeter accurately measures low residual magnetism and displays magnetism measurement levels.  The ELMATCO® handheld digital gaussmeters (fluxmeters) are lightweight and easy-to-use.

Medical instruments can become magnetized during processing or with normal use. In addition, surgical instruments can become magnetized by mixing different surgical instruments, medical tools and magnets.  Separating instruments using separators or wrapping techniques may help prevent instruments from becoming magnetized but not always.  Once instruments are magnetized they should be identified to the processing departments so they can demagnetize the instruments.  Using our medical demagnetizer will ensure your instruments are not magnetized during surgery.  No longer do you need to worry that needles will cling to your needle holders.  Using the RESIDUMETER®II Gaussmeter guarantees accurate readings before and after demagnetizing instruments.

This gaussmeter is able to accurately measure magnetism levels of single instruments, strung instruments, a tray of instruments or a bag of instruments (able to measure magnetism levels through plastic packaging). The testing area is located bottom, center front and must physically contact the instruments or plastic package for measurement to be taken. Ease of operation makes this gaussmeter a time-and cost-saver for the user and processing departments.  Consequently, magnetized surgical instruments are prevented from getting into operating rooms or causing problems such as suture needle deflection or retention.
