ELECTRO-MATIC PRODUCTS CO., "ELMATCO®" is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of demagnetizers, digital handheld gauss meters (gaussmeters), magnetic chuck controls, sump pump battery backup systems, linear positioning systems, and electrical transformers.  Our on-site engineering department is continuously developing new state-of-the-art products.

Servicing the industrial, metalworking, medical, scientific, and plumbing industries for over 70 years, ELECTRO-MATIC prides itself on providing high-quality, cost-effective solutions for all your needs.  Both stock and custom units are available.  We are located on the Northwest side of Chicago, Illinois, and are proud to display the “U.S. Made” logo. 

As pioneers in the field of demagnetizing, we introduced the first demagnetizers designed for the industrial environment.  On the leading edge of demagnetizing technology, we have developed an extensive product line of surface, loop and custom demagnetizers designed for specific applications.  NEUTROLATOR® brand medical demagnetizers are field tested and proven to be the demagnetizing solution for medical and scientific environments.  DEGAUSSATRON® series demagnetizers uses state-of-the-art digital technology to effectively demagnetize massive parts in a time-efficient manner.  New energy-efficient units are available as we strive to contribute to a “Greener” environment.

Founded in 1938, our initial product was the development of the first chuck control to effectively neutralize magnetism for ease of removing parts from the chuck.  Our NEUTROL®II chuck control revolutionized workholding in the grinding industry and contributed to increased factory productivity at a crucial moment in the history of US Industry.  Our trademark NEUTROFIER® is known industry wide as the synonym for chuck controls. Our state-of-the-art magnetic chuck controls, NEUTROL®II  and MINATRON®II are designed for versatility and maximum performance with electro-magnetic chuck’s of any manufacturer.
